| This is the current build of our iPhone real-time strategy game. It is being developed with iOS in mind, but we are using the cross-platform SDK, Airplay. In theory, the game will run without issue on Android and a host of other mobile devices. We have only tested iOS. Thanks to our brilliant artists who came up with the idea for a paper doodle come to life theme, we've got gorgeous hand-drawn sprites animating at an intentionally low frame rate. I'm considering adding a nice edge detection filter to cartoon things up a bit once we're in the polish phase. We are in serious feature crunch mode right now, but once we've finished, the game will be a territorial tug of war with dumbfire units on a circular world. As you can see, some units disperse what appears to be a cloud of gas. This will represent a player's territory. Units will all cost this territory to make and some units exist solely to spread territory, and some exist to destroy the enemy base. I implemented most of the AI code, which is not shown in action here besides pathing, a fair bit of the architecture and I am currently a generalist, shifting between teams to put out fires. I also implemented the early rendering prototypes and designed the rendering architecture with a partner. Check out my Github fork for this project at www.github.com |
