"Stella's Dance" presents Stella Feldschuh's spontaneous dance while on a nature walk April 4th, 2010 in Barrytown, New York, on the West bank of the Hudson River, beside a bay inlet connected to Tivoli Bays. Recorded and edited by George Quasha with an added track of axial drumming, it was originally edited for his performance of an axial lecture with animated "preverbs" ("axial poems"), video, and acoustic and digital drumming, first performed on April 30th, 2010 at Barnard College/Columbia University as part of AG3, the Third International Arakawa & Gins Conference in Architecture and Philosophy. The second performance was on July 3rd, 2010 in Rhinebeck, New York, for Steven Holl and guests. See also www.quasha.com.
