Thom Mayne, Morphosis Architects, on Building an Urban Campus
| Architect Thom Mayne gives a lecture entitled Building an Urban Campus. Mayne is principal architect of Morphosis Architects, a firm founded in Los Angeles in 1972 whose recent projects include 41 Cooper Square, the new home for the Cooper Union. In his talk, Mayne discusses the design and construction of the building, which aims to reflect the Cooper Unions values and aspirations as a center for advanced and innovative education in art, architecture, and engineering. The lecture is made possible through the Daisy C. and H. Shapiro Lectureship Funds and is sponsored by the New School Bachelor's Program, The New School for General Studies, and the University-Wide Urban Programs.
